I'm actually quite excited about my summer adventures, which will start on May 21st. I will be working in the North Carolina part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as an intern!

My supervisor will have me assist with insect and salamander data collection, air quality analysis, mentoring of high school interns, educating the public, possibly some trail maintenance, and weekends to have fun.

I may or may not have internet so my photo uploads may be very sporadic. However, I will try my best to push my creativity and my skills to bring out the best in the Smoky Mountains.

I'm there until August 11, so if you are interested in possibly meeting up for some adventure in the park, tell me.

I'll be leaving early in the morning. Internet is probably going to be sporadic at most so there is going to be silence from tomorrow up to August 11th. Maybe I might post one or two journals while I'm there if I can get wifi.
